Thea , Ora and Frans takes pride in personally attending to their guest’s needs . It is their great pleasure to interact with their guests , make them feel at home , and generally make life easy for them. They will gladly share information and provide maps , pamphlets , etc. on attractions and the history of the area.

VILLA ORA is a serene 80+ years old . It is a colonial style home, featuring a sunny wrap around verandah and an elegant entrance hall , leading to cool spacious rooms with high ceilings and beautiful wooden floors. Great care was taken to preserve the character of the house whilst adding all the modern mod cons required by the discerning guest.

Situated just off the centre of Oudtshoorn Town , and a few metres away from Route 328 which leads to the world famous Cango Caves , VILLA ORA is ideally situated for you to park your car safely on site , and then to take a short , leisurely walk to excellent restaurants and shops , museums , art galleries , etc.

VILLA ORA is surprisingly tranquil , especially the pool area where a king sized pool is surrounded by lovely greenery and where there is ample paved space to enjoy the warm South- African sunshine.

Overlooking the pool is the breakfast terrace , which also serves as an open air dining area at night when the weather is fine , which is most of the time in Oudtshoorn. Many a pleasant evening is spent out here.

A refrigerator with beers, wine, and sodas is to be found on the breakfast terrace . Spirits are available and guests are invited to serve themselves on an “ honesty bar “ principle.

Close by excercise machines can be found on the back verandah. Regular bicycles are available to guests wishing to explore the town further , or to do some serious riding.

There is a safe for storing valuables.
