The light of Hope is shining!
The lady behind this movement is an angel without wings, who goes by the name of Mamma Amelia. A life’s work of love, kindness and humanitarianism cannot describe Mamma’s many achievements… but seeing a little one’s face light up at her presence somehow manages to encapsulate it all.
A second project is in the midst. Ekukhanyemi (The Light of Hope) is a centre solely aimed at the welfare of all her “adopted” children as well as those who want to learn basic skills in woodworking, sewing and welding. It is to be a multi cultural centre focusing on the mental and physical developmentof the youth and there are plans for a day clinic, a crèche and an after care centre, plus class rooms for the skills training.
As Mamma Amelia said “it will be bigger than words can tell”.
